Paralympic archery, Grosseto ready to welcome national competitions – Grosseto Sport

The municipal administration’s commitment to support people with disabilities, their inclusion and use of city spaces continues. Disabled kids will soon have the opportunity to participate in nationwide archery competitions in the city as well.

In this sense, the Municipality of Grosseto has obtained, through the Coeso Società per la Salute, a contribution of 80 thousand euros from the Tuscany Region to be allocated to the archery sports facility in via Lago di Varano. The intervention, for a total of 120 thousand euros, provides for the expansion of the field, through the removal of architectural barriers and the subsequent construction of a new footbridge.

“Practicing sport is everyone’s right – commented Social Councilor Sara Minozzi and Public Works Councilor Riccardo Ginanneschi – Our city will finally be able to host Paralympic competitions. An important project which, in addition to bringing numerous athletes with their teams to the area and having a significant economic impact, testifies once again how inclusive Grosseto is”.

On the matter, the mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna expresses great satisfaction and maximum commitment for a rapid start of the works.
