OLYMPISM – COD Executive will listen to opposing parties from 4 federations

The Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) will receive the National Sports Federations whose contradictions have transcended public opinion.

In a brief statement, the COD has released a calendar to receive and listen to the parties to subsequently evaluate each case and take the pertinent measures, always adhering to the statutes and laws 122-05 that deals with the regulation and promotion of non-profit associations in the country and 356-05, which is the law that governs Dominican sports.

Those federations include Fencing, Surfing, Badminton and Pentathlon, the statement said.

It has been observed that these federations have internal contradictions that have transcended public opinion, so the COD executives have the firm decision to solve these situations, with the express objective of making the image of the organizations affiliated with the COD transparent to society.

The parties of the Dominican Fencing Federation will be received at the COD headquarters next Tuesday, April 25, at 10:00 in the morning, while the Dominican Surf Federation will be heard on Thursday, the coming 27th, at 10:00 in the morning.

In that same order, the parties of the Dominican Badminton Federation will be received at the COD on Tuesday, May 2, at 10:00 in the morning, and on Thursday, May 4, they will receive the parties of the Dominican Pentathlon Federation. Modern, starting at 10:00 in the morning.

This initiative seeks to make the image of the organizations affiliated with the COD more transparent before the Dominican society.
