NBA Playoffs: Knicks tie – Green suspended

The Clippers were opposed by celebrities: Kawhi Leonard at 31 and Russell Westbrook, who improved offensively this time, at 28.

Cavs hit back – Celtics sovereign

In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers also managed to equalize 1-1 in the series. After the team from Ohio lost their first home game against the New York Knicks, this time it was a 107:90 (59:39) in front of their home crowd. Darius Garland led Cleveland with 15 of his 32 points in a strong second quarter, giving the hosts a 20-point lead at the break.

In the Knicks, only Julius Randle (22) and Jalen Brunson (20) crossed the 20-point hurdle, the German center Isaiah Hartenstein had four points, seven rebounds and five assists in 27 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 119-106 (61-49) and took a 2-0 lead in their series. The Celtics ended the first quarter with a 17:3 run and were no longer behind after that. Jayson Tatum was Boston’s top scorer with 29 points. Also strong: Point Guard Derrick White with 26 points. Shooter Dejounte Murray (29) stood out for the Hawks.

Banned for one game after kicking Sabonis

Sunday still had after-pains. The Golden State Warriors suspended Draymond Green from the league for the third game against the Sacramento Kings after kicking opponent Domantas Sabonis in the chest. The forward of the defending champion was sent off after his offense in the fourth quarter of the second duel. Sabonis had previously clung to the opponent’s right leg after a fall under the basket. Green then broke free and stepped on Sabonis.

The Warriors lost the game 106-114 and are 2-0 behind before Thursday’s home game (local time).
