Curry trascina Golden State, Phoenix vince a L.A.
Golden State strikes, clings to a super Steph Curry and in the first home match of the series returns to success and shortens to 2-1 in the series against the Kings (even without the suspended Draymond Green), Philadelphia wins in a sprint in Brooklyn Nervous game and mortgage the passage to the second round: controversy for the non-expulsion of Joel Embiid and for that – disputed – of James Harden. Devin Booker scores 45 points in the Suns win on the road against the Clippers in Game 3
BROOKLYN NETS-PHILADELPHIA 76ERS 97-102 (SERIE SULLO 0-3) | At the end of a nervous match full of technical fouls, expulsions and twists, Philadelphia wins game-3 and places a serious threat on the passage of the round – beating Brooklyn at home thanks to a triple 44 seconds from the siren signed by Tyrese Maxey (25 points with 5/8 from the arc for him) and a block by Joel Embiid who adds 14 with 10 rebounds in a complicated match for the leading MVP candidate (5/13 shooting and five turnovers)
The key episode of the match comes at the start when Embiid, having come into contact with Nic Claxton, lands a kick from the ground between the opponent’s legs, but the referees in evaluating his gesture they evaluate the blow as a type 1 flagrant foul – thus avoiding the direct expulsion, which then arrived for the sum of technicians in the second half against the center of the Nets. One of the many episodes of nervousness in which it was also James Harden who paid the price: 21 points and in 29 minutes, then the expulsion that caused Royce O’Neale to argue for a stroke
In Brooklyn, on the other hand, there is very little left to console himself with, in a match that was revived by the hair thanks to a 35-18 run in the third quarter which, however, did not change the fate of the match and of the series which has now (almost) completely gotten out of hand for the Nets : I’m at the final siren 26 points on 26 shooting for Mikal Bridges, while Spencer Dinwiddie adds 20 with seven game-winning passes. Nic Claxton is almost never wrong: 18 points with 8/9 shooting, in a game that increases the regrets for the hosts
