Napoleone Meinardi, at the top of wrestling and judo

Here is Napoleone Meinardi awarded by Mayor Gallegati on his return from the Munich Olympics. In the second half of the 1900s he was a symbol of Faenza sport, athlete, referee and manager of the Fighting section of CA Faenza. Born in 1919 and passed away in 2010, he was among the columns of the multi-titled Cisa Audax of which he was vice president and then president from 1952 to 1968. Wrestler in the Thirties, then referee up to the international level with three Olympics under his belt: Rome, Mexico City and Monaco. In 1981 he was elected national vice president of the wrestling-weightlifting-judo federation.
