Rafael Nadal has to postpone his comeback. The 36-year-old Spaniard will also not participate in the Masters tournament in Barcelona from April 17th to 23rd. “Barcelona is a special tournament for me. I’m not ready yet and I need to continue my preparation,” Nadal wrote on Twitter. The Spaniard has won the singles title twelve times in Barcelona.
The 22-time major winner suffered a hip flexor and groin muscle injury at the Australian Open. He is still suffering from the consequences. Most recently, he had already canceled his participation in the tournaments in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo. Nadal is only 15th in the world rankings. His big goal is to be able to serve again at the French Open on May 28th.
