Well placed at the start of this second round of French International Boys U18, Louka Morin again distinguished himself this Friday by returning the best card of the day with a score of 68 (-4). By recording five birdies for a single bogey conceded on the fifth hole of the Saint Germain golf course, the licensee from Port-Bourgenay took 2nd place in qualifying with a total mark increased to -6. With this fine performance, the 17-year-old player stands out a little more to the coach of theFrance boys team, Jean-Francois Lucquinsince the tournament is one of the selective ones to the next European Boys Team Championships (July 11-15 in Geneva).
Louka Morin is therefore the first of a contingent of eleven Frenchmen who pass the cut and qualify for the match play phase. With him, Louis Anceaux (-3), Octave Bailo, Valentin Luna (-2), Hugo le Goff, Diego Lourenco, Jules Lauer (par), Tom Colombel, Aaron Van Hauwe (+1) and finally, Rafael Bobo-Lloret et Arthur Carlier (+2) will play the 16th and potentially the 8th finals scheduled for Saturday’s program.
