A match within a match. In Prague, Emma Meesseman (Fenerbahçe) and Kim Mestdagh (Schio) faced each other during the prestigious Final 4 of the EuroLeague. After an animated match, Meesseman eventually won the Belgian get-together with 77-70. At the expense of Mestdagh and co, she can prepare for the final with her Turkish top team.

A unique event for Belgian basketball. For the first time, two Belgian basketball players faced each other in the Final 4 of the EuroLeague, the Champions League of basketball.

Emma Meesseman’s Fenerbahçe was the top favorite on paper. Still, it was Kim Mestdagh’s Schio that got off to a flying start in the semi-finals.

Until well into the third quarter (46-43), Meesseman and co were even dependent on chasing.

Although it turned out to be only a stay of execution. The Turkish star ensemble had put diesel in its tank, but found its turbo completely back after the break. With 25 points in the third quarter, it went mercilessly up and over his Italian opponent.

The logic was respected anyway. The Turkish top team continued the good line in the end and eventually triumphed 77-70. Emma Messeman scored 13 points. Kim Mestdagh had to bow her head with 5 points for her fellow international.
