Marco Reus: Marco Reus extended at BVB

Dortmund. Captain Marco Reus will stay with Borussia Dortmund.

The 33-year-old has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024. The 33-year-old international has extended his contract with the Bundesliga club, which expires at the end of this season, until 2024.

BVB gave that on Thursday. April 27th. 2023 known. Dortmund did not provide any further information on the content of the contract.

Born on May 31, 1989 in Dortmund, Germany, Reus started at Dortmunder Postsportverein 1926 in 1993 and moved to Borussia Dortmund’s youth ranks when he was six years old. There he played through the youth teams of BVB for ten years, but was then sorted out by the U17 coach, Peter Wazinski, because he didn’t think he was physically strong enough.

For the 2005/06 season, like Kevin Großkreutz before him, he then moved to the then LR Ahlen (from July 2006 Rot Weiss Ahlen) 2009 to 2012 to 2012 he played for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Reus was recently no longer an untouchable regular player at BVB. Reus, born in Dortmund, played for Borussia when he was young and returned to BvB from Mönchengladbach in 2012.

His greatest successes so far have been the DFB Cup victories in 2017 and 2021.
