Qualified directly for the playoffs, the Warriors will begin their campaign with a major opponent: the Kings. The outcome of this exercise could impact decisions for the summer, including free agents. It is rightly said that a departure is becoming more and more likely in Golden State.
Despite enormous difficulty winning away games, the Warriors won their postseason ticket. The franchise is not favorite to defend its title, especially since it will have to manage the Kings in the first round: a team in full euphoria thanks to the performances of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. It won’t be easy to win…unless the veterans decide to wake up.
Inevitable departure from the Dubs
Steph Curry will logically be expected at the turn, just like another man: Draymond Green. Likely free agent this summer (if he refuses his option), the interior will have to prove that he deserves a huge contract. This is what he covets in the coming offseason, and what could precipitate his departure from the Bay. This is what he explained to insider Chris Haynes.

A little bit of pressure on the leaders, since Green is convinced he deserves a max contract for his contribution on the floor. It is undeniable that Draymond changes a lot of things, but his statistical production is far from worth such emoluments. Even financially, it’s not at all easy for the front office as Klay Thompson will find himself in a similar situation next year.
As for the supporters, everything will depend on the results of this offseason:

Draymond Green will not change his mind: he wants a maximum contract to continue with the Warriors, or an amount approaching this sum. It remains to be seen if Joe Lacob is ready to give in, or if Dray will play in another team next year…
