Luis Díaz returned with an abysmal win in the Premier League; that’s how it went to the colombian

Luis Díaz started this Monday in the duel with Leeds United as a substitute, something totally normal for what is estimated for this game. After having the game in his favor with a score of 5-1, Klopp leaned towards the variants to manage the victory.

Around minute 79, the German opted for three modifications, among which was Lucho Díaz, thus confirming his official return to the pitch with the reds. With a smile on his face, the coffee grower was acclaimed by the fans of the team that attended as a visitor.

Finally, the game culminated in a 6-1 win for Liverpool, which again came close to fighting for the European positions. The reds are eighth with 47 points, 6 behind fifth, which is Tottenham.

Liverpool thrashed 6-1 on their visit to Leeds on Monday, with doubles from Salah and Diogo Jota, a victory that keeps the ‘Reds’ in the fight to play in Europe next season.

After a failed first opportunity by the Spanish-Brazilian Rodrigo Moreno for Leeds (7), Liverpool took control of the game and the goals fell one after another.

The Dutch Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in minute 35 and the Egyptian Mohamed Salah widened the gap before the break (39).

A shot against the crossbar by American Brenden Aaronson (58) was the last act of resistance for Leeds, who conceded another three goals in the last half hour, scored by Salah (64), Diogo Jota (73) and the Uruguayan Darwin Núñez (90 ).

With this victory and with eight days to go in the championship, Liverpool (8th) has 47 points, 9 behind fourth place (Newcastle), qualifying for the next Champions League.

Although the Top-4 for now seems like a chimera for Liverpool, 5th place, qualifying for the next Europa League, which Tottenham currently occupies with 53 points and one game more than Liverpool, does seem more feasible.
