Arsenal nearly doubled the score in the 17th minute. Bukayo Saka’s pass found Gabriel Jesus. Luckily for Liverpool, the former Manchester City striker fired a shot that bounced over the goal.
Liverpool’s best attack just appeared in the 20th minute. Fabinho played a forward pass which was successfully received by Andrew Robertson. However, the shot from the Scottish left-back was still sideways from the goal.
Arsenal’s second goal arrived in the 28th minute. Gabriel Martinelli’s pass from the left wing of Arsenal’s attack line was smoothly headed by Gabriel Jesus, who stood unguarded from Virgil Van Dijk in the penalty box.
