Arsenal’s second goal arrived in the 28th minute. Gabriel Martinelli’s pass from the left wing of Arsenal’s attack line was smoothly headed by Gabriel Jesus, who stood unguarded from Virgil Van Dijk in the penalty box.

Liverpool finally reduced the lag in the 42nd minute through Mohamed Salah. Diogo Jota sent a tug of bait which was touched imperfectly by Jordan Henderson. The ball headed into an empty space and Mohamed Salah successfully used it to score.
