LaLiga requests the accusation of Negreira’s son for his “possible influence” on the referees

LaLiga has claimed to the Court of Instruction number 1 of Barcelona the imputation of Javier Enriquez Romeroson of the former vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) between 1994 and 2018 Jose Maria Enriquez Negreirafor receiving money from FC Barcelona within the framework of Barçagate.

The association chaired by Javier Tebas points out that in her order to initiate an investigation that the magistrate accused of the former presidents of Barça, Sandro Rosell y Joseph Maria Bartomeutwo former executives and Enríquez Negreira, but not his son Javier.

As we have published in digital freedom, the confession of Negreira’s own son pointed out that he accompanied “every week an arbitration team to the airport, hotel, field.” The Prosecutor’s Office, for its part, points to the former presidents of Barça as those who reached “a strictly confidential verbal agreement” with the then vice president of the CTA so that “in exchange for money” they will carry out “actions tending to favor” Barça in taking office. decisions of the referees. But LaLiga considers that for that Enríquez Negreira had the “active and necessary cooperation” of his son in a possible ongoing crime of corruption between individuals.

LaLiga considers that the “possible influence of Enríquez Romero on the arbitration group” would be in the payments he received from six arbitrators for services of coaching between 2016 and 2018. The accusation also reminds the court that three other referees, currently in the VAR, paid Negreira’s son for the same service in the same period. For all this they consider that he received payments from referees who later whistled at Barça.
