In the fourth game of the final series, “Kurbads” beat “Panter” hockey players with a score of 3:2 (0:0, 1:1, 2:1) and reached 3-1 in the series up to three victories.
In the third minute of the second period, Roberts Yekimovs put the Latvians in the lead, and ten minutes later Arturs Fedoruks made it 1:1. “Panter” took the lead in the middle of the third period after Savelij Novikov’s shot, but in the 53rd minute, Julian Misjus equalized the result after the passes of Edgars Adamovičs and Yekimovs.
The winning goal was scored four minutes and 11 seconds before the end of regular time by Yekimov, who was assisted by Tom Hartmanis.
In the main tournament, the “Kurbada” team won 21 victories in 24 matches and ranked first in the seven-team competition.
