Kazakhstan Grand Prix canceled

Scheduled for next July 9, the MotoGP Grand Prix of Kazakhstan has been canceled due to works.

The MotoGP Grand Prix of Kazakhstan, scheduled for July 9, is canceled and will not be replaced, the FIM (International Motorcycling Federation) announced on Wednesday.

«Ongoing circuit homologation work, coupled with global operational challenges, has forced the cancellation of the 2023 edition“Said the FIM in a press release, without giving any other details.

Kazakhstan was to host a motorcycle Grand Prix for the first time this season, on the Sokol circuit. “MotoGP eager to head to Sokol International Circuit in 2024“, adds the FIM. The current season will therefore be contested over 20 Grand Prix in principle, including that of India, another novelty on the circuit this year. Three have already been raced, and the next is scheduled for Spain in Jerez on April 30.
