Judo: Leopards win 4 medals at Luanda Open

The Leopards of Judo won, Saturday, April 08, four medals including two gold and two bronze at the Luanda Open (Angola). Gédéon Kasota dit Zibiyu and Joseph Bola (gold medalists) sounded the national anthem of the DRC and waved the tricolor in the Angolan capital.

Both gold medals were won in the under 60 kg category. The other two bronze medals were won by Daso Kisoka in the under 60 kg category as well and judoka Seraphine in the under 57 kg (Junior) category.

These medals are also credited to the coordination that Nico Lianza has been leading for only a few months. This coordination was set up by the former Minister of Sports and Recreation, Serge Nkonde in collaboration with the International Judo Federation to put an end to the conflicts that had lasted three years in this discipline.

In addition, the Congolese referee José Mbuyulu who officiated during this Luanda Open, was selected to lead international competitions./mediascongo.net
