Friday April 14, shortly after 7 p.m., the applause resounds at the dojo of L’Aigle (Orne), located at the Pierre Pichot gymnasium. With congratulations, Enzo Saillard, member of the Eagle Judo Clubdrops his brown belt on the tatami.
Afterwards, he wears, for the first time, the coveted black belt. It is a deserved distinction for the judoka, very proud that evening.
The young man has hardly missed any lessons since he was 4 years old.
He has merit, because he is assiduous and constant. He has a taste for effort and, beyond that, he invests at club level
To get there, the high school student had to validate several criteria.
First of all, the 15 year old boy reached the threshold of the 100 points requested, without time limits in official competition.
Then he completed each refereeing module which aims, among other things, to check knowledge of the rules.
Finally, under the expert eye of the members of the Normandy Judo League, the young Aiglon shone in the tests of technical knowledge and mastery of judo.
A real passion
Enzo does not intend to stop there. “I would like to go up to dan (grade) but above all continue to have fun and have fun”, specifies the one who is also taking his first steps in animation.
For him, judo is more than just a sport, it’s a passion. From a very young age, the practice has instilled important values in him, including respect and self-control.
Like him, other of his comrades should soon change belts…
