Judo added its first gold medals

Judo -until now- is the discipline that has awarded the most medals to the tricolor delegation in the celebration of the fifth edition of the Alba Games.

Natalia Odreman won the gold in the -48 kg category when she managed to defeat the representative of Cuba, Cheila Areviche. Previously, the judoka won the fight against Jessie Castillo (Nicaragua).

The second gold would come thanks to the efforts and talent of Audrey Pacheco (-57kg). She getting the first place on the podium by beating the Cuban Lian Benavides.

The action took place at the National Judo Center, located in El Paraíso, Caracas. In this same scenario, five more silver metals were registered, in charge of:

  • Jonaiker Manzo (-60kg)
  • Jesus Torres (66 -kg)
  • Leonardo Perdomo (-73kg)
  • Leomaris Ruiz (-52 kg)
  • Ronelys Centeno (-63 kg)

Venezuela is located in the first position of the medal table with 36 medals.
