In Rosporden, sport, solidarity and good humor brought the badminton players together – Rosporden

Shuttlecocks and rackets were out on Saturday April 22, 2023, Colette-Besson room, in Rosporden, as part of a tournament organized by the local badminton club, for the benefit of the Young Firefighters (JSP). Players from the Rosporden region but also from Scaër, Concarneau, Quimper, Saint-Evarzec, and even Lyon competed.

“Les pépères”, a team made up of Nicolas Cordier and Philippe Poulichel, won against the “Revenants”, former club players, Mathieu Cerfon and Frédéric Campion. In the small final, the duo “Beautiful as a Brand New Truck” won against “La Team Racquet”.

The participants showed their imagination in choosing the names of the teams: Bad girl, Shrimps with sequins, Happy Birthday or even Coicoufeurs. The winners and finalists left with different prizes, gift cards or gift baskets.

First aid workshops

“The atmosphere is very good, we welcomed 20 teams or 40 players, it’s leisure badminton but it really plays, there is a good level all the same. Everyone is delighted with this day: players, JSP, volunteers and spectators. The Rosporden Badminton team is happy to have been able to hold this first leisure tournament in association with the JSP, they were of incredible support, it is also thanks to them that we were able to offer a quality event » , commented the president, Élodie Nicolas. During the day, the JSP offered first aid workshops.
