The general chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir, emphasized that he would impose severe sanctions if there was “flirting” in the race for the 2022/2023 League 1 runner-up position between Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung.
“Flirt? Help me? I think, I, Mr. Zainudin and Exco have a commitment to clean football and of course achievement. So if it turns out that tomorrow’s league is playing games, the punishment will be very severe,” said Erick Thohir, Friday (14/4/2023 ).
During his leadership at PSSI, Erick Thohir wanted to create a clean and accomplished national football. So that anyone who violates or commits fraud will be severely punished.
“The referee is punished for life, the players are punished for life, yes, the club is just relegated,” he explained.
