The MotoGP World Championship travels this weekend to Austinin Texas (USA), to dispute the Grand Prix of the Americass, the third race of the season. The championship comes to the test with the Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) as the surprising leader, and without Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda RC 213 V), who is still recovering from the metacarpal fracture in his right hand that he suffered in Portugal.
Bezzecchi account with nine points ahead about his compatriot and reigning world champion Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP23), who was unable to finish the second race, held in Argentina on April 2, due to a fall. The absence in Austin of the also Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati Desmosedici GP23) leaves the first two as favourites.
In a theoretical background the French are outlined Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararowith the latter looking to improve on a below-expectation start to the season, and the Spanish tricks, headed by Jorge Martín, Álex Márquez and Maverick Viñales.
