The principal duel between the two opponents of the Latvian Cup final, FK “Auda” and RFS Mežaparka, ended in a goalless draw. Big credit to the performance of “Audas” goalkeeper Fabrics Ondoa for such a result.
Meanwhile, the last season’s vice-champion “Riga FC” team went home from Tukums on Monday with earned points, where they defeated the local “Tukums 2000/Telms” team 2:0. Lemelo Nguena and Baba Musa stood out for the Riga team with goals.
At the moment, “Riga FC” is in the leading position of the super league with 13 points in five games, followed by RFS with nine, while last season’s champion team “Valmiera FC” completes the top three with seven points. Seven points are also on the account of “Audas”, six – for FK “Mettai”, FK “Liepāja” and FS “Jelgava”. Three points were collected by “Daugavpils”, “Super Nova” and “Tukums 2000/Telms”.
