Fary, first artist to perform at Roland-Garros

In the heart of Paris, Fary made an appointment with journalists from France Télévisions at his home, in his comedy club, a café-théâtre called “Madame Sarfati”. “It comes from the iconic character of Elie Kakou, because I’m still a big fan of his work“, explains the comedian. “At first, I didn’t even know he was a character. It fascinated me to see that we could transform ourselves in this way”he confides.

13 years of career, big halls like the winter circus or Bercy, and today a new challenge: to be the first to play in the Roland-Garros stadium, in front of 15,000 people. A unique experience. What interests him, amuses him, in the idea of ​​talking about the couple in 2023? “It was for me like a kind of personal challenge as an artist, to go to a subject that has been treated so many times and to try to tell something special about it”, he adds. “We can make people laugh with everything normally. You just have to find the right way to say it.”
