Eriksen back in training with Manchester United

The Dane returned to training on Tuesday with the Red Devils. He is coming back from an ankle injury suffered in January.

Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen, who suffered an ankle injury at the end of January, has returned to collective training with Manchester United, coach Erik Ten Hag announced on Tuesday.

The player’s return to the game will not be “not tomorrow(Wednesday), for the late match of the 25th day of the Premier League against Brentford, said the Dutchman at a press conference. But, he added, “he returned to the field, he resumed collective training today so we will see how quickly he manages to progress».

The Red Devils, who have a very busy end to the season, really need the reinforcement of their midfielder who was initially supposed to be absent at least until the end of the month. Eriksen (31) was injured during an FA Cup match after being the victim of a bad tackle from the opposition. Currently 5th in the Premier League, tied on points with Newcastle (3rd) and Tottenham (4th) – the latter having two more matches on the clock -, United is aiming for qualification for the Champions League.

Winner of the League Cup at the end of February, and still in contention for the semi-finals of the FA Cup and the quarter-finals of the Europa League, Manchester has played two matches a week without stopping since the end of the World Cup. If he goes all the way in the two remaining Cups, the pace will be the same until the end of the season.
