English crossover in the lead in Abu Dhabi, Tom Vaillant in the top 10

First Thursday evening and second at the end of the day on Friday, Tom Lewis took control of the Abu Dhabi Challenge this Saturday (-17 total). The English returned a card of 68 with 5 birdies and 1 bogey. The 32-year-old doubles his compatriot Joshua Greenville-Wood, now the only runner-up (-15). The latter, leader at the end of the second round, was less lively, finishing his round in 71 shots (5 birdies, 4 bogeys). The third step of the podium (-13) is occupied by a trio composed of the Portuguese Ricardo Gouveia, the Spaniard Ivan Cantero Gutierrez and the South African Wilco Nienaber.

Tom Vaillant clings to the top 10

His compatriot Brandon Stone is alone in 6th place (-11). For his part, Tom Vaillant remains in 7th place thanks to a good record, without error, of 68 (4 birdies). At -10 total, the Frenchman is accompanied by Manley Stuart and Steven Brown. The top 10 is completed by a quartet in 10th position (-9). We find Benjamin Follet-Smith, Christopher Feldborg, Frederik Birkelund and Jack Singh Brar.

Two other French people in the top 15

Third Friday evening, Julien Sale was in more difficulty this Saturday, recording a card of 74, marked by two double bogeys, at holes 5 and 16 (3 birdies, 1 bogey). The 25-year-old drops to 14th place (-8 total) where he is accompanied by Ugo Coussaud. The latter completed his third round in 67 shots (6 birdies, 1 bogey).

Among the other French people involved, Gary Stal ranks 29th (-5 total), Mathieu Decottignies-Lafon and Martin Couvra, amateur golfer, are 58th (-1) while Félix Mory takes 66th place (by total).
