Last year’s finalist inflicted the second-heaviest home loss in franchise history on the 2021 champion at 140-99. Small forward Jayson Tatum was the Celtics’ dominating player with 40 points.

Boston is just two wins behind the Bucks, who lead the Eastern Conference with 55 wins five games before the end of the regular season. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points for Milwaukee.

Nuggets lose without Jokic

The Denver Nuggets, leaders in the west, suffered a defeat.

The Colorado State team, without injured superstar Nikola Jokic, lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 88-107. The Nuggets are still three wins ahead of closest pursuer Memphis Grizzlies. Brandon Ingram stood out with the Pelicans with 31 points.
