The Bonn Capitals took revenge on Sunday afternoon with a 13:0 shutout at the Berlin Flamingos for the close and surprising 3:4 defeat on Saturday evening. After just four innings, the game was decided with an intermediate score of 10:0.
Bonn only needed nine hits for the 13 runs, given the flamingo pitching eleven walks in six innings. Eric Brenk stood out from a balanced team with two hits, two walks and four RBI. Daniel Aldrich scored three runs. Danny Lankhorst posted two RBI. Berlin only got two hits from Patrich Kurzawa and Nico Kannapin.
Zack Dodson, Joe Wittig and Dovydas Neverauskas combined nine strikeouts in seven innings at the 2-hit shutout. Benjamin Weber conceded the loss on the side of the flamingos.
