beat Bruschi in game 3 of the playout

E-Work Faenza saves itself with the victory at the PalaBubani against Bruschi San Giovanni Valdarno 66-48. Good approach to the match right from the start for the Romagna women in a decidedly crowded PalaBubani: 25-15 after the first quarter and +14 at the start of the second signed by Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah.

San Giovanni struggles, but closes in single digits behind for Garrick’s triple that closes the first half of the game on 35-27. In the third period Faenza flies with a partial of 8-2 signed entirely by Campisano: +16 (50-34). A margin that the home team manages with great tranquility until the end, holding up to the final 66-48:

Policari top scorer with 15, double double for Kunaiyi-Akpanah (13+19), 13 for Davis and 11 for Campisano; 13 by the former Schwienbacher are not enough for San Giovanni.

The match – Policari finds the first points of the match from distance. Five points in a row from Schwienbacher unlock Bruschi, who impacts on 5-5. Policari and Pallas push E-Work away (16-8), with the pivot from Faenza continuing to raise its voice. Policari scores again by writing plus ten, forcing Matassini to be suspended for one minute.

Bruschi skids and Davis extends further, making the triple of 21-8. Paulsson-Glantz breaks the fast of San Giovanni Valdarno, but the landlords are in control and in the tenth they lead 25-15.

Even in the second period the music didn’t change, with the low shooting percentages and the many rebounds conceded that didn’t help the Tuscan formation. A triple by Schwienbacher tries to play the charge in the middle of the fraction (32-22), with San Giovanni Valdarno who mends it right at the end with a triple by Garrick on the siren that brings the gap back to single digits. On the twentieth it is 35-27.

The third period opens with a 5-0 win by Faenza, which pushes the landlords away by more than thirteen. Garrick and Tassinari try to put their teammates back in line, but Campisano scores from the arc for 45-32. Brezinova’s jolt, Campisano’s prompt reply who puts another five points in line for the 49-34 which forces Matassini to take an immediate timeout.

The plot, however, does not change and Policari signs the maximum advantage over 53-34. The technician in Missanelli completes a nightmare third fraction, with E-Work clearly ahead 56-38 in the thirtieth minute.

In the last fraction Bruschi didn’t find the spark to reopen the games and so she will be forced to challenge Moncalieri in the second round to win salvation.
