42 points – no team has had so few points this season in the Basketball-Bundesliga placed in a game.

Not a single player scores double digits. The guests’ best thrower is Ahmed Hill (eight points).

Bayreuth professional Sasha Grant on the magenta microphone: “This must not happen to us! We have to be better. Such a defeat doesn’t represent the true face of our team. We didn’t deserve that!”

The Bayreuth horror numbers: only eleven out of 24 two-point attempts find their goal, plus just six out of 29 three-pointers. The defense allows an incredible 23 offensive rebounds from Bonn.

It’s already historically bad at the break – 18 points in one half set the Würzburg negative record of this season. Bonn leads 42:18.

After all: the guests make the first five points after the break. Even win the third quarter with 18:17.

But they seem to have exhausted themselves with that – Nikic scored the first point in the final section after more than three and a half minutes. From the free throw line. The next successful throw is only after seven (!) minutes played.

Before the game, Drijencic had said: “It doesn’t matter what the situation is – we mustn’t give up.” But that’s exactly what it looks like now. At Bayreuth, nothing works together.

They just about get around another low point – 2.6 seconds before the end of the game Hill manages a layup. Bayreuth has made six points in the quarter. Minus record is five points.

Bayreuth now need at least four wins from their last six games to avoid relegation. If they play like they did in Bonn, it will be difficult if not impossible.

Thanks to the win, the people of Bonn remain level on points with leaders Alba Berlin. And are happy that they can save important top performers for Tuesday. The decisive game 3 against Strasbourg is about getting into the semi-finals of the Basketball Champions League.

Bonn coach Tuomas Iisalo: “No one played more than 23 minutes today. That’s good!”

Chemnitz – Oldenburg 89:91

Shocking moment for the Oldenburg! In the middle of the last quarter, Alen Pjanic fell badly on his left arm after trying to block. The small forward needs treatment and leaves the hall with a splint. The exact diagnosis should follow in the coming days.

His team prevented the surprise, turned up the heat at the end and narrowly won the game. Oldenburg’s best pitcher: Dewayne Russell with 27 points.
