Baltimore Ravens do not rule out recruiting a QB in the NFL Draft

the drama of Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens has taken a new turn. Everything indicates that the power game will continue in a constant push and pull between the organization and the quarterback until they trade him or give him the extension he is looking for.

Eric DeCosta, Ravens general manager stated in press conference that the team will not rule out taking a quarterback in the first round of the next Draft of the NFL according to his big board.

“It depends on the board, it really depends on it. I would say yes because we have quarterbacks in our top 31.. So based on that, simple math, I’d say yes,” DeCosta said when asked about drafting a QB in the first round.

Also, the Ravens’ manager believes there are more than four good prospects at the position. The favorites are C.J. Stroudde Ohio State; Bryce Youngfrom Alabama; Anthony Richardson, from Florida; and Will Levisde Kentucky.

DeCosta believes there are good quarterbacks in the entire Draft and that a good work of visories should be done. For this, the manager exemplified with QBs taken by the organization he represents.

“We believe that you can get a good quarterback in the first round, or in the third or fourth with a chance to develop themDeCosta said. “We took Tyrod Taylor in the sixth round. Many years ago we drafted Derek Anderson sixth round.”

In addition to this, DeCosta took up other success stories outside the Baltimore franchise, such as that of Tom Brady with the New England Patriots and the Brock Purdy with the San Francisco 49ers.

“You saw what the Niners did last year with Brock Purdy. It is possible to get a good quarterback at any point in the draft.. Obviously the GOAT, Tom Brady, was a sixth-round pick,” DeCosta said.
