The Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev won the Red Bull Bassline on Tuesday, a tennis tournament with an innovative format and that landed for the first time in Spain, on the occasion of the Mutua Madrid Open, to delight the fans who gathered at the night session the magic Box.
The Arantxa Sánchez-Vicario Stadium was packed for an event expected in the Spanish capital, where sport and entertainment came together. A cast of great players, including three ‘top 10’ from the ATP, drew a different experience for racket lovers.
Feliciano López, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Sebastian Korda, Andrey Rublev, Dominic Thiem, Frances Tiafoe, Martín Landaluce and Casper Ruud formed a top-level lineup to live this tournament seasoned with music thanks to a ‘disc-jockey’.
The players competed for the best of three ‘tie-breaks’ and Rublev was proclaimed champion by adapting well to this fleeting format, thanks to a light-hearted show. Thus, the Red Bull brand put a festive note to kick off the Mutua Madrid Open.
