Persebaya Surabaya coach Aji Santoso confirmed that several former players will return to defend the team in the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 season.
“There are several former players who have said they will return to Persebaya next season,” Aji Santoso said in a statement in Surabaya, Sunday.
Apart from that, he continued, Persebaya also continues to improve and evaluate the depth of the team from all lines. At present, the player recruitment process has reached around 90 percent and is not only focused on the defense line.
“We will try to be even better and we have also got deals with the players,” he said.

Currently, he said, it’s just a matter of looking for replacement players who will accompany the Persebaya first team.
“The target is quite high, to win. But I have confidence that with hard work, with new material, and players with champion quality, that target will be achieved,” he said.
Currently, the club that has the nickname Bajol Ijo only has two home games left in the 2022/2023 season.
On Tuesday (11/4) will host Arema FC. Despite being the host, Persebaya is directed to play outside East Java which is planned to be held at the Police Science College Stadium (PTIK), South Jakarta, at 20.30 WIB.
In the final game, the Surabaya native will face Dewa United FC. It is planned that the match which will take place on April 15 will be held at the Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik, at 20.30 WIB.
