4649 units, Céline Dumerc becomes the best scorer in the French championship

At 40, Céline Dumerc has become the top scorer in the history of the women’s league, overtaking Paoline Salagnac.

Céline Dumerc became Saturday the best scorer in the history of the Women’s League during the victory of Basket Landes against Landerneau (84-79).

The London Olympic vice-champion in 2012 and 2009 European champion with Les Bleues is ahead with 4,649 points scored by her ex-Bourges teammate Paoline Salagnac (4,648 points), retired since 2020.

At 40, the stainless Céline Dumerc still compiled 10 points and delivered 8 assists on Saturday with Basket Landes, sixth in the Championship and in a good position to qualify for the final phase.
