Nearly fifty golfers gathered at the recent “Río Serrano Hotel+Spa” championship that took place in the links of the Club Naval de Campo Río de los Ciervos.
There were 46 players who gave life to this ninth edition of the contest, highlighting the presence of 11 representatives of Río Gallegos.
In terms of results, the best gross score was for the experienced golfer Bernardo Núñez with 151 shots and the best net score was achieved by Ernesto Fernández de Cabo González (140), with only 13 years of age.
It is worth mentioning that the competition was held in honor of Jaime Arancibia Besoain, father of Magallanes Golf Club players Jaime and Pablo Arancibia.

“I am very happy for the realization of this tournament, which is a tradition for our club. We had two excellent days, the weather was good, there were a large number of players and we even had the Río Gallegos delegation, who are friends of Patagonian golf, so we can only hope that next year we will have a great celebration for the 10 years of this championship”, highlighted Jaime Arancibia, partner, player and sponsor of the tournament.
During the award ceremony, the promising golfer Ernesto Fernández de Cabo González, owner of the best net score of the tournament, was recognized. On the occasion, the most experienced players highlighted that the result obtained is due to his effort and the perseverance he has had in this discipline, since from a very young age he has followed in the footsteps of his father, Ernesto Fernández de Cabo Arriado. .
