Saturday 1is and Sunday April 2 took place the 6e edition of the Néron national doubles tournament. 190 players came at the invitation of the badminton section of the Amicale laïque in the Pierre-Mendès France gymnasium, to play matches in women’s, men’s and mixed doubles. The players of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux have not been unworthy, since 10 of them have reached the podium in their categories.
Badminton is a sport made of rapid exchanges, which requires good reflexes. Its practice allows you to keep a good physical condition. The AL badminton section of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux has 83 members. Its workforce has returned to pre-Covid levels. Within the association, 20 children discover this sport under the direction of coach Fanny Picon, made available by the Meylan badminton club. The club is chaired by Vincent Demeslay. The members of the association can practice their favorite sport almost every day of the week, at the end of the day, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Jeannie-Longo gymnasium, and on Thursdays in the Pierre-Mendès France gymnasium.
