[로컬라이프] Anyang-si, Mayor’s Day Sports Festival Integrated Opening Ceremony and Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival Launching Ceremony

On the 15th, at 9 o’clock in the auditorium of the city hall, Anyang City held the ‘2023 market flag (ship) integrated opening ceremony for each event and the launching ceremony for the 69th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival’ and made a resolution to win.

According to Anyang City on the 17th, about 400 people attended the event, including Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho, members of the National Assembly, provincial councilors, city chairman and lawmakers, executives of the Anyang City Sports Association, event leaders, and selected players.

The market flag (boat) competition to be held this year starts with the 6th Anyang market boat foot volleyball competition on the 16th of this month and will be held in 29 events including badminton, soccer and tennis until December.

Along with the opening ceremony, the launch ceremony for the 69th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival was also held at the event.
This year’s Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival will be held in Seongnam City for three days from May 11 to 13, and Anyang City will have 409 athletes participating in 24 events including track and field, golf, soccer and tennis.

Choi Dae-ho, Mayor of Anyang, said, “It is more meaningful because it is the opening ceremony for the first time in four years, and I hope that all the competitions held this year will be held successfully.” He requested that each player achieve the best results and raise the status of Anyang as a sports city.”

On the other hand, the city awarded mayor commendations to 14 people, including officials from local sports associations, who devoted themselves to the development of the local community and the vitalization of sports promotion.
