Anderlecht would have been interested in Mario Gonzalez in January. The 27-year-old Spanish attacker is doing well in Leuven, where he has scored 15 goals and 1 assist in 22 games this season. Ariël Jacobs is the technical director at OHL and responded to those rumors.

There is still the young Lucas Stassin, but an extra attacker (if Slimani stays) is certainly not a luxury for the team from Brussels. Will they make another attempt for Gonzalez, or will they go for another striker?
