Wade Ormsby wins, Jérémy Gandon 48th in Thailand

Gandon: “The bottom line was there”

Jérémy Gandon, contacted by telephone after his tournament: “The days follow each other and look alike. -10 is not a bad score but this week it needed a little more than that. There were a few failures, the bottom line was there, just a little inaccuracy on the wedge putting, putts that could have gone in, two or three chips, here and there and then it quickly adds up a few points which put me far from places of honour. It was quite special this week in the sense that all the scores were very tight. It’s a course that forgave a lot of bad shots and it was easy to make pars, but to make birdies you had to put a few putts. I am leaving in the morning (Monday) for New Delhi. I heard that the route was completely different. There isn’t a lot of drive off the tee and fairly tight fairways. »
