The Uruguayan U-17 team drew 0-0 with Colombia in its debut in the South American tournament in the category that is taking place in Ecuador and will award four places to the World Cup in Peru.

The match began under heavy rain and quick action for the opponents who had an action by Bonilla that forced Almeida to quickly take action to conjure up.

As the game progressed and with the activity of Helguera and Techera, the light blues began to adjust to the game and had their first depth with a cross from Peralta that connected Pacífico and went very close.

A couple of shots by Caicedo and Barrera showed this option in the coffee growers to offend, on a very wet field that was not showing its best condition.

The goalkeeper Martín Almeida was a figure in a match that turned uphill, taking three or four chances from a rival who was more and wanted the opening.

In the final ten minutes, Demarco’s men grew again and approached his opponent’s fence, with Luciano González having an important card of imbalance. A shot from Peralta that Breiner Quintana caught closed those 45′ that left with a goalless tie.

It could not

The second half was very even in its twenty minutes of resumption, with a lot of dispute in the zone of flyers and covered by both cuidapalos before shots from Bonilla and Peralta again.

The actions took place with great desire on the part of the two but without so much clarity in the final pass, which led the celestial DT to send Faustino Barone and Mateo Ureta to the field for Luciano González and Felipe Serrés.

This gave another presence in attack to the point that at 81′ Barone himself inflated the nets, but the referee decided to cancel it due to a foul when it came to getting hold of the ball.

A blackout in the lighting network stopped the actions with a view to closing where, after resuming, a Calione header that touched a coffee defender went very close and then Alegre with a shot demanded Quintana, in the last moments of danger.

A goalless draw at the Christian Benítez de Guayaquil, a point for both of them and to think about what is coming to add and access the final hexagonal.
