The Latvian basketball player has added to the ranks of “Trieste” to replace the injured players Skyler Spencer and Jeylen Hudson.

The 29-year-old Stumbris was without a club at the beginning of the season, but in the preseason he participated in the training of another Italian club “Germani” Brescia, and in November he joined “Trapani”, in whose ranks the Latvian averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in 17 matches.

Stumbris spent the previous season in Poland, averaging 13.4 points, six rebounds and two assists per game for GTK Gliwice.

Even before that, the power forward finished the season in another Polish club, “HydroTruck” in Radom, but started it in the Icelandic championship in the Reykjavík KR team, where he did not stay longer due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as the Icelandic championship was interrupted.

Before that, the basketball player played in the Latvian team “VEF Rīga” for two seasons. During his career, he also represented Liepāja, Jūrmala and Jēkabpils teams, but played abroad in the units of Rakvere and Ķedaiņi.

The Trieste team, with a record of 9-14, ranks 12th in the Italian Serie A tournament table in the competition of 16 teams and is out of the playoffs.
