The sports champions of 2022 were honored in cc De Velinx. The red carpet was rolled out at the entrance. Everyone was allowed to pose in front of a green wall to be immortalized. Badminton player Frédéric Gaspard has been voted sportsman of the year. He grew up in Bastogne and started playing badminton at the age of 14. As a result, he also got to know his wife from Bruges. They settled in Tongeren where they founded badminton club ‘Badiator’. Frédéric is national coach and technical director badminton. He became European champion (+35) in Slovenia. The other sport trophies: Liezel Everars (dressage) is the Promising Sports Figure; Céline Weynen (playing tennis) is the Promising Girl; Arne Collas (archery) is the Promising Boy; U19 Datovoc (volleyball) is the Promising Youth Team and the league A-team of Datovoc (volleyball) is the Sports Team of the year in Tongeren. send
