Since the beginning of March, the archery club has offered a discovery license to new members of the association.
The Archery Union has been offering “discovery licenses” since March. As its name suggests, this sesame is offered to all archers of tomorrow who wish to discover this sport. It gives them access to the club’s courses and facilities for a few months.
You have to walk a few meters from the shores of Lake Saint-Caprais to get there. The stand dedicated to the Union archery association is hidden on the edge of the Sausse. This space lined with trees is spread over 6000m² in a privileged natural setting, thus giving it the calm necessary for the practice of this sport. We don’t necessarily know it, but archery offers a wide variety of practices, ranging from 3D shooting to run archery, course, outdoor or indoor shooting. Moreover, in winter, some lessons take place under cover, at the Acacias bowling alley.
The volunteers who bring the union club to life are keen to share their passion, which can be practiced at any age.
A few months to try
That’s why they offer these “discovery licenses”. They allow those who have never been registered with the French Federation to make their debut for a few months. It is valid from March to September, and has an affordable price: €80 for children and €100 for adults. Equipment can also be rented for €25. This sesame obtained, the neo-archers will be able to practice a sport which has the advantage of making work the whole of the body, makes it possible to improve its capacities of concentration, coordination or to channel its energy.
The rest of the story takes place behind an arc. The new licensees will thus be able to take advantage of the lessons of a world champion: David Jackson was again titled 4 months ago at the individual field archery world championships. But he is not the only one to fill the Union club’s trophy cabinet. The young people of the club climbed on the 3rd step of the podium at the French 3D team championships, and the seniors won the silver medal at the French campaign team championships.
