The Santermana sports association “Sport Experience Ideas” which promotes the Olympic disciplines of racket (badminton and table tennis) in the area and encourages sporting activity by educating to movement from an early age – was the winner of the FIBa / Sport and Health tender entitled ” + Badminton x Tutti” (line of intervention of 28% – over 65s and fragile classes, which arises from the previous experiences of the Italian Badminton Federation with the aim of accompanying competitive and non-competitive athletes belonging to the over 52 category and to bring the vulnerable to basic sports activity, for the adoption of an active and healthy lifestyle).

The idea is to guarantee free access to the world of sport for the groups of users involved. The “Sport Experience Ideas” has also joined (pending the outcome) the similar call FITET/Sport and Health entitled “Table tennis for all ex all ages” of the Italian Table Tennis Federation.

The “Sport Experience Ideas” association has entered into an agreement protocol with the “Piazza Grande” day care center in order to identify the subjects falling into the category of “fragile classes” and propose the free activity. The sporting activity will be guided by the technicians of the “Sport Experience Ideas” graduates (or undergraduates under the agreement with the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” for training internships) in motor sciences as well as enabled by the Italian Badminton Federation through a course of dedicated training that will take place through federal webinars.

To make the citizens aware of the details of the project, the association is proposing a meeting entitled “The flywheel of youth” for Friday 17 March starting at 4.30 pm at the headquarters in Piazza Grande in via San Giovanni Bosco in Santeramo.

In addition to institutional representatives and representatives of the promoting association, representatives of sport, education in healthy eating and medicine will attend.
