The New York Giants signed safety Bobby McCain to a one-year deal. The information was revealed by ESPN’s American reporter Adam Schefter. He comes in to replace Julian Love, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.
McCain was a fifth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2015 NFL Draft. He stayed in Florida until 2020, when he was waived and signed a contract with the then Washington Football Team, now the Washington Commanders. He stayed in the capital franchise until February of this year, when he was let go to free up $2.3 million in cap space.
Last season, McCain had 76 tackles and 1 forced fumble. It remains in the NFC East as the Commanders and Giants are divisional rivals.
