Months after the 10th anniversary of the expilot’s accident, his mentor, Eddie Jordan, told how the family day-to-day is.
Michael Schumacher He had an accident in December 2013 while skiing in the French Alps, and since then his state of health has been unknown. In September 2021, Netflix released a documentary about the life of the pilot and, although his fans expected more details about his health to be known, none of that happened.
However, Corinna, Schumacher’s wife, made a general reference to the subject that fills everyone with mystery: “We are together, we live at home together, we do therapy and do everything we can to make Michael as well as possible and also for you to feel our family bond. We try to carry on as a family, in the way that Michael always liked it and still does. We continue to live our lives like this. Private is private, as Michael always said. So it’s important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael always protected us and now we protect him. Whatever happens, I will do everything I can, every day.”
Eddie Jordan was a friend of the seven-time Formula 1 champion and who made him debut in the highest category of motorsport in 1991, at just 22 years old, in the team that bore his last name. And, in the last hours, the man who can be considered his mentor, broke the silence: “This is the most horrifying situation for Corinna (by his wife). Jordan, like many, cannot go to visit the pilot because of the rules imposed by his wife, however, far from getting angry, he said: “I tried several times to go see him a while ago, but she refused and it seems to me that she is within her rights because many people wanted to visit her”. She also explained that Corinna gave her a reason not to visit him: “We love you Eddie and we’ve been with you for a long time, but we need privacy and care for Michael.”
