The Celtics subdue the Cavs thanks to Jayson Tatum and Tonton Horford

It was the clash of the night in the East, between a young and ambitious Cavs team and a young Celtics team and… already experienced in this kind of duel. A match that only lasted a quarter and a half, the time the local star woke up.

The stats of the main event of the night in the East are right here

It could have, but they couldn’t. They didn’t…hold on.

It’s hard to stand up to this Boston team. Very, very difficult. Darius Garland had tried to get the Cavs off the ground at the start of the game, at the baton of an orchestra that was playing just in front of C’s still in the run-in. Jayson Tatum in particular, quite discreet if not on a tap dance that came out of nowhere and which then woke everyone up a bit.

An action which will have the merit of launching the evening of the local hero, who will then engage in a duel of cloaks and swords with Donovan Mitchell, also in a great evening despite an obvious pain in the thigh making his score all the more courageous.

The difference between the two teams tonight? The supporting cast, without any form of disrespect of course for the cracks that are Jaylen Brown, Robert Williams III and Al Horford, supporting cast being usually a term more appropriate to garbage collectors. But that night Jayson Tatum was once again the implacable boss of Boston, and his whole troop had only to follow the boss. Al Horford the first, Tonton Al having slammed neither more nor less than his best game of the season with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists, in a game where he remained 100% shooting for a very long time.

Opposite ? To answer to the 41 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists from Jayson TatumDonovan Mitchell had entered very early in a kind of distance duel with JT, a duel that he will end with a 44-point record at 17/32 but embellished with a huge wind from Jayson’s son, Deuce, who already seems to have mastered yet so subtle art of trashtalking.

In the money time Darius Garland will allow Cavs fans to pretend to believe it, Caris LeVert for his part will continue to be nil, and in the end it is the Celtics who will come out of it, by only four small points but , really, the feeling indicates rather a +12 or 15 Boston, they who even counted up to 20 points in advance at the bottom of the night. Because they are solid, eh, these little Cavs, but Boston this season, really, is something.
