The Cavaliers tie the ‘Playoffs’ in the Spanish duel between Ricky Rubio and Usman Garuba

The Cleveland Cavaliers of Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio have sealed their pass to the NBA Playoffs after beating Usman Garuba’s Houston Rockets (108-91) this morning, in a day in which Santi Aldama and Memphis Grizzlies met they imposed the Atlanta Hawks (119-123).

At Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the ‘Cavs’, fourth in the Eastern Conference (48-28), signed their fourth consecutive victory guided by Jarrett Allen’s 24 points and Donovan Mitchell’s 22, which neutralized the great performance of Jalen Green (30 points).

The Catalan point guard Ricky Rubio was on the court for fifteen minutes, in which he had time to score two points -both from the free throw line-, grab a rebound, provide two assists, recover a ball and set a block, all to help Cleveland clinch the postseason for the first time since LeBron James left.

Opposite, the Rockets, bottom of the West (18-57), conceded their fifth straight loss in a match in which the Castilian-La Mancha power forward Usman Garuba contributed two points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block in your 15 minutes of participation.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies celebrated the return to ownership of Ja Morant (27 points) after his incident with a gun in a nightclub with their sixth consecutive win, which keeps them in second position in the West (47-27). In his 18 minutes on the court, Canarian power forward Santi Aldama contributed four rebounds and one assist.
