The biathlon exhibition was dominated by Krčmář and Davidová, they are the champions of the Czech Republic in the super sprint

Krčmář had to do two penalty rounds in the four-event final and left last year’s winner Tomáš Mikyska behind by 22 seconds. He made one more mistake. He paid especially for the penalty round after the final item, in which Krčmář was infallible. Jonáš Mareček finished third, who lost almost 53 seconds on Krčmář after five mistakes.

The innkeeper was happy that the biathletes could thank the fans for their support in this way. “Although the Supersprint was a championship race, the atmosphere was friendly and we all enjoyed it a lot. Maybe also because it was the last race of the season and we are all looking forward to some time off. In Oslo I already raced with back pain for the last two days and it was not it,” he said in the union’s press release.

The father of Viktor’s soon-to-be-one-year-old son now wants to focus not only on his family. “I will also be a fan. I am looking forward to going to hockey and football,” added the Sparta Prague supporter.

The sixth female sprinter at the recent World Cup in Oslo, Tereza Voborníková, did not participate in the women’s race, as she complained of Achilles inflammation after the last races among the elite.

All the finalists made a lot of mistakes on the shooting range. Despite five mistakes, the victory was won by Davidová, who defeated defending champion Jessica Jislova by less than seventeen seconds. She did not prove to be a reliable shooter this time and also had to take five penalty rounds. The best score in the women’s final was four errors. They were made by, among others, Tereza Vinklárková, who came in third place. She lost 29.5 seconds to Davidova.

The winner of the supersprint, Davidová, only has general ideas about the next free days. “Sleep, horses and otherwise no plan. That’s exactly what I need for the next few days,” she remarked.

She still regretted a bit that she didn’t succeed in Sunday’s mass start race in Oslo in the fog. “There, I lost an even better position in the World Cup. In the end, however, I end the season happily, because I scored zero in the last supersprint event here in Jablonec,” added Davidová.
