Stade Rennais and its eclipsed Belgians

A single goal to decide the last meeting of the weekend in Ligue 1. With its three Belgians, Stade Rennais concedes its third defeat of the season at home.

End of series for Stade Rennais. After three consecutive victories, Rennes were beaten on their lawn by Olympique de Marseille. The Marseillais were however in full doubt, after the heavy defeat last weekend against PSG and the surprise elimination in the Coupe de France on Wednesday against Annecy.

But OM were more realistic and more solid than their evening host. A single stopped phase was enough for Igor Tudor’s men to make the difference. Perfectly served at the far post, Sead Kolasinac planted the only goal of the match.

The three Belgians from Rennes took part in this match: Jérémy Doku was injured and had to give up his place in the 26th minute of play, Arthur Theate played the entire match and Ibrahim Salah came on in the 73rd minute.
