The San Antonio Spurs have released Isaiah Roby to make room for Sandro Mamukelashvili, recently released by the Milwaukee Bucks, on their roster, journalist Shams Charania reported for the outlet. The Athletic.
Mamukelashvili, just 23 years old, was under a dual contract with the aforementioned Bucks; However, his deal will become standard with the franchise led by veteran Gregg Popovich.
A native of New York and trained at Seton Hall University, he came to the NBA through the 54th pick of the 2021 Draft, being chosen by the Indiana Pacers, but immediately transferred to the Bucks.
Under the command of Mike Budenholzer, he has played 24 official games with averages of 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in just 9 minutes per day.
